CCTVal of the USM trains high school teachers on particle physics
In preparation of the International Particle Physics MasterClass, organized by CERN, Campus scholars and researchers carried out a series of activities to introduce high school teachers from the region to the subject.

International Society of Automation presents its new Mining and Metals Division, led by CCTVal Manager.
The nonprofit Organization dedicated to providing expert advice and developing quality standards for companies and professionals applying automation in the optimization of industrial processes, will count with a new division led by the manager of the Scientific and Technological Center of Valparaiso of the USM (CCTVal for its Spanish acronym).
The activity was held in Santiago and was focused on presenting successful cases where technology and automation have helped increase efficiency and productivity.
The first version of the seminar “USM SUMMIT 2016” was organized with the aim of positioning the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa Maria as a source for technology transfer and to expedite the link among national and international companies, the Centro Científico Tecnológico de Valparaíso (CCTVal), the Oficina de Transferencia Tecnológica y Licenciamiento, and the Campus’ Ingeniería 2030 Project.
